The Sr. Project Specialist within the ePMO is responsible for managing projects and supporting key strategic initiatives.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Project Specialist within the ePMO is responsible for managing projects and supporting key strategic initiatives. This role involves ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects aligning with the company's business objectives leveraging project management tools to manage and drive successful completion.

The Sr. Project Specialist is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Portfolio Management.

Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually.

 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Project Implementation: 
    • Plan, organize and implement projects by defining scope, tasks and required resources.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: 
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations. 
  • Communication: 
    • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and risk assessments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: 
    • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with projects. 
  • Resource Management: 
    • Track status of project/initiative portfolio of strategic initiatives. 
    • Partner with key resources across the organization. 
    • Identify resource constraints that lead to project risk. 
  • Governance and Standards: 
    • Leverage and optimize project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Performance Metrics: 
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success. 
    • Report on project status, risks, and issues to leadership as required.
  • Problem solving: 
    • Ability to identify, summarize and address risks associated with projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks seamlessly without reduction in quality.
  • Ability to interact, cooperate and work closely with all levels of internal and external colleagues.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in project management roles.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.
